# Lesson recipe (5–15 minutes)
| Step | Do this |
|------|---------|
| 1. Hear meaning | Read English first — get the idea |
| 2. See Hindi | Devanagari + Roman (how it sounds) |
| 3. Say out loud | Whisper is fine. Mouth must move |
| 4. Swap a word | Make it about *you* |
| 5. Express lab | Later units push you to invent sentences |
## Two scripts, one brain
- **नमस्ते** = Devanagari (Hindi writing)
- **namaste** = Roman help (how to say it)
You will recognise both. Writing full Devanagari perfectly is *not* the goal of this beginner path.

Remember
- Meaning first
- Say it out loud
- Change one word → make it yours
- Roman is a bridge, not a prison
