# Sounds English does not have (do not panic)
You only need a *good enough* version for now.
### Retroflex (tongue curls back a little)
- **ट** ṭ → like a hard *t*
- **ड** ḍ → hard *d*
Example: **namaste** uses soft sounds; **thoda** (thoda = a little) has a soft *th*.
### Aspirated (extra puff of air)
- **ख** kha · **घ** gha · **थ** tha · **ध** dha
If hard, just say the letter with a little breath.
### Nasal
- **न** na · **म** ma · and the *n* feeling in **haan** (yes)
## Rule of survival
People understand you even if your accent is foreign. **Keep speaking.**
